Make sure you are using the newest version. This can be downloaded at the top of the site via the "downloads" link.

Use a very good subject. "Problem" or "Help" are unacceptable titles.

Use the search feature before posting a question, as the answer is probably already here.

Subscript out of range error 9: This is a generic error, and we'll need way more information than that to figure out the problem. If you get this, strongly consider following the instructions of submitting your project through the Submit Bug feature within the editor.

How to download resources.

Postby Deedasmi » Tue Sep 30, 2008 5:53 pm

The other topic is kinda full without a detailed guide so.....

To download resources, go to the resource page, and click download. Then, would suggest, make a new folder called 001 resources and save it there, so you can easily find it later. After you have all the ones you want downloaded. Open 001.

There is a catergory on the left that says resources. click "Resources" not any of the subcategories. Now minimize this, or move it off to the side.

Now open My computer, and go to your 001 resource folder. All you have to do is select your file, click and drag it onto the big screen that says "Drag downloaded resources into this area to import them". For slower computers, I would suggest dragging the resources into the 001 resorce screen 1 by 1. However with a nice computer, you could select multiple files, and drag them all at once into 001, where they will be imported and seperated into their proper sections automaticly.

Make sure to check, and edit, the stats of the item to fit your game. Don't need a "wooden sword" that ends up 1 shotting the last boss in the game :P

I keep my organized in a 001 items folder, then in 001 characters, guns, swords, environment and tilesets, vehicles, sound effects. I dont like searching a long time for my stuff.

I usually hate going into a lot of maps for each invidual item. So I kept a folder for all my resources...but the idea screwed up. You see, I have about 150 resources, and I make some almost every day. Most of my resources are either outdated due to editing on several games - which should share the same resources. Maybe I should indeed make those damn folders.

Anyways, let's link to this if anyone asks how to.

Nor is it The Epic Game of Loladin Happy Face.
